Enquire about this LodgeSolar-heated water, septic systems that keep nothing out of the river, and a towel policy that asks before it washes - Sukau has spent decades proving luxury and conservation aren't opposites.
On the Kinabatangan, Built to Leave No Trace
Sukau Rainforest Lodge sits directly on the Kinabatangan River, Borneo's richest wildlife corridor, with sustainability built into everything from its solar hot water to its septic systems.
The lodge has earned recognition as a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World and the Asian Ecotourism Network's Sustainable Building award - proof that a five-star river stay and a genuinely light footprint aren't mutually exclusive.
