This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and shared, and the choices available to you. Safari Acacia Privacy & Cookies Policy

Who We Are

References in this policy to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Safari Acacia, a private safari travel agency based in India, arranging journeys to niche, uncrowded wildlife destinations across Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, India and Malaysian Borneo. “You” means anyone who visits this website, makes an enquiry, or books a journey with us. Our contact details are set out at the end of this page.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information when you voluntarily provide it to us, most commonly during an enquiry or booking. Depending on the journey, this may include your full name and contact details, such as address, email and phone number; travel preferences and itinerary details; passport and identification details, where required for park permits, flights or border crossings; payment information needed to process your booking; and any other information you choose to share with us, or that you consent to provide.

If you give us personal information about someone else, such as a travelling companion, you confirm that you have their consent for us to hold and process it in line with this policy.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to plan and manage your booking, arrange international payments, communicate with you about your trip, and improve the service we offer. With your consent, we may also send you occasional updates or offers about future journeys. We will not, without your express consent, supply your personal information to any third party for the purpose of their own direct marketing.

Who We Share It With

Arranging a private safari means working with a small number of trusted partners. We may share your information with airlines, lodges, camps, ground handlers and tour operators, so far as reasonably necessary to fulfil your booking; park authorities or permit offices, where identification is legally required for entry; and courts, regulators or professional advisers, where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell your personal information, and beyond what is set out in this policy, we do not share it with anyone else.

Cookies & Analytics

A cookie is a small file placed on your device by our website. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they reach their expiry date or you delete them. We use cookies to recognise returning visitors, understand how our website is used, keep it secure, and improve its usability.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website: page views, time on site and general browsing patterns. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can read more about how Google handles this data in Google’s privacy policy, or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Data Security

We use measures that meet industry standards to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is entirely secure, and while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Your Rights

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is inaccurate, and to request that we delete it. To exercise any of these rights, or if you have any concern about how your data is handled, please contact us using the details below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page, so we encourage you to check back periodically.
