How to use Wise for International Travel Payment
Guide for transferring money for international travel
Are you planning for your dream luxury family vacation on a foreign land? Have you already finalised the itinerary with your preferred tour operator and now it is time to transfer the advance payments to their bank account in another country. There are different payment methods one can use to transfer international travel payments, that include:
- Modern secure online money transfer services like Transferwise, Revolut, XE etc to their bank accounts. In most circumstances, within 1-2 working days your money will be received. Paypal has a very high charge outside USA.
- Bank wire transfer – If you choose to transfer money via traditional bank telegraphic/wire transfer, please follow the exact company details mentioned on your invoice.
How to use Wise?
To use the Wise platform for transferring money internationally for your luxury travel, you can start by installing the app in mobile for convenience, however, you can use internet browser as well.
You have to sign up your account first. It will ask for your email address, and you’ll create a password. Wise will verify your account before you are able to send money. Check what information they need for verification here.
Steps in Wise to send money:
- From home page, click on Send.
- You can first go to Recipients tab below and Add a recipient.
- Choose currency as INR (Safari Acacia Travel Agency currency)
- Add a Business / organisation
- Add the bank details as below. (The bank details will be provided in your invoice)
6. Select the exact amount you would like to transfer to the recipient (us) to get and select our currency.
The WISE service charge fees will be added automatically to the previous amount. The system will also ask about the reason for your transfer.
Click on Send button and thereafter you can select from which account of yours, you like to transfer the amount.
- Either choose an account outside Wise so that you can transfer money from your bank account through net banking; or you can reload money in your wise account (like an e-wallet) a priori from your bank account, and now use this amount from your wise account to transfer to us. The best facility of Wise is that you can reload money from your bank account to your Wise account in your local currency, and seamlessly convert it into several currencies within your Wise account.
Review everything and send. There will be email confirmation of the transfer made or in app you will see the details.
You can track your transfer from your Wise account. If you send us the email with tracking id, we can also track it.
